On Tuesday, February 25, O-MAST hosted an Oakland Special Election Candidate Forum in partnership with MEBA and the ILWU, offering Port stakeholders an important opportunity to engage with and hear from Mayoral and District 2 City Council candidates running in the April 2025 Special Election.
Candidates spoke on how they would prioritize industrial lands, advocate for Port jobs and operations, and work with Port stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard.
The City of Oakland requires leadership that understands the symbiotic relationship between the City and the Port and its tenants, and we look forward to working with the next Mayor and District 2 Councilperson to advance the Port’s interests.
